I’m 30 years old, and from Seattle. I love traveling, but I’ve never been to Asia. So, why would I take the risk of quitting my job, and leaving everything to live in Indonesia? Sometimes there are just yearnings in one’s soul that must be explored. Though I’ve enjoyed the security of my job, and the network of my friends and family, I felt it was time for me to stretch myself a bit. I’ve grown too comfortable… to the point where it feels like I’m just not growing anymore. It’s time to shake things up, and once the dust settles, see if I can figure out what I wanna do when I grow up.

After a year of living in Indonesia, we’ve decided to sign on for another year. Although there are frustrations from time to time, it’s been a very rewarding experience. It was really scary taking the leap to leave our great jobs in the US, but I don’t have any regrets. I’ve learned so much in the past year, and look forward to another great year of continued learning and exploration.
